Dr. Idriss obtained his Medical Degree from Cairo University in 1994. Dr. Idriss completed his Internal Medicine and Nephrology Residency and Fellowship at Cairo University Hospital, from 1995 to 1999, and completed residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, from 1999 to 2002. He served as Clinical Instructor, Internal Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, from 1999 to 2003, He served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine from 2002 to 2003; and completed Fellowship in Endocrinology in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, from 2003 to 2005. After fellowship he started a private practice in Florida from 2005 until 2011; he continued his private practice in California from 2011 to 2014; and later recruited to a private practice in Los Angeles and served as a Medical Director of East Los Angeles Diabetes Center from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Idriss then join UC Irvine as an Associate Professor in the division of endocrinology since 2015.

Dr. Idriss is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine.
