Nilanjan Banerjee is a Professor in Computer Science at Univ. of Maryland. He is the receipient of a NSF CAREER award, a MSR Software Engineering Innovations Award, a UMBC Up and Coming Inventor Award, a Yahoo! Outstanding Dissertation Award (UMass Amherst), and a Best Undergraduate Thesis Award (IIT Kharagpur). He is an expert in embedded systems and signal processing and machine learning algorithms applied to sensor data. He has published more than 70 research papers and has received more than $9 million in research funding.
